Adventurers for Christ
Mission Statement: Adventures in Christ’s Mission is to help Bible believing churches by personally assisting pastors, church leaders, and their families to spread and uplift the gospel of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Where to begin? Two years ago, we were in Virginia on vacation trying to discern what the Lord would have us to do in our retirement. While touring one of the caves, lights shone behind several stalactites and stalagmites in a concaved manner; Barbara commented that she now understood how Jonah felt. The tour guide had no idea what was being talked about. He had never heard stories from the Bible and did not know anything about the saving grace of Jesus. Both Rick and Barbara’s hearts “fell to the ground.” In the middle of the “Bible belt,” there were people who had never heard about Jesus…that was our calling…to help spread the Word.
What can we do? With the motorhome, we hope to visit Bible believing churches to help and uplift the pastor and his family and other church leaders while spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior.
What will we be doing? Honestly, we don’t know, However the Lord leads us. Examples are: pass out tracks, visit with those in need, clean the church, help in children’s church and bible school, hang blinds, fix a meal for the pastor’s family, review building plans, address zoning issues and environmental concerns…anything that is in our capabilities.
