Who We Are:
The Bible gives explicit direction concerning our purpose as Christians in each of the gospels and in the book of Acts. “Go ye into all the world...” is proclaimed from the pulpit regularly. However, we have a responsibility to be a blessing and help to those with legitimate (“non‐spiritual”) needs. James 1:27 reminds us to visit or “oversee and inspect” the fatherless and the widow. In context, this exemplifies a practical Christianity that is concerned with the well‐being of everyone. As the family of God, we desire to strengthen our practices of “inspecting” those around us. What can I do to encourage, edify, or enhance the lives of others?

There are several areas in which willing hands would be valuable. Many individuals desire a behind the scenes job that does not require special training. Organizational skills, a compassionate heart, and time is all that is needed to help touch someone’s life in a very tangible way.
